Athletes foot is caused by a fungal skin infection. The fungi that cause it feed on dead skin cells and are usually harmless but can get out of control in warm, moist conditions. Mix 1 tablespoon of Neem oil with 1/2 cup of a carrier oil, such as olive or almond, and apply to the affected area twice a day. Use it more dilute if you have very sensitive skin.
Tea tree oil is antifungal and antibacterial. You can use a few drops neat on the affected area or apply with a cotton ball several times a day. Alternatively add some tee tree oil to a little Calendula cream and rub into the affected area before bed. Keep on with the treatment for at least a week after the symptoms have gone.
Thyme oil Is a powerful anti-fungal. Use it the same as tee tree.
Olive leaf extract
Olive leaves have been shown to have significant antifungal action and are effective against many strong strains of fungi. Taking liquid Olive leaf extract or one to three capsules two times per day with meals can help improve the immune system as well as cure the athlete’s foot.
